About the event
Shipra, a revered river in India, shares a unique bond with Mother Narmada. During the Kumbh of 2016, the sacred waters of Mother Narmada were brought to merge with the holy waters of Shipra, further enhancing its spiritual significance. Vivek Ji holds the belief that his initial parikrama was of utmost significance, as he embarked upon it to pay homage to Mother Narmda in the form of Shipra River. The Shipra Parikrama is a customary event in the city of Ujjain, eagerly anticipated by locals and visitors alike. This sacred journey is graciously hosted by none other than Dr. Mohan Yadav, the esteemed Education Minister of Madhya Pradesh. It is worth noting that Dr. Yadav himself participates in this annual pilgrimage with great devotion.
A decade ago, Dr. Mohan Yadav initiated the Shipra Parikrama, which has since gained a reputation of its own. The parikrama takes the devotees on a sacred journey through numerous ancient sites in Ujjain.
